Anisometropia

Power differences between each eye causing a lazy eye or a weaker eye and poor eyesight. The refractive error is different in the two eyes; this can sometimes cause amblyopia (Partial or complete loss of vision in one eye).

Diagnosis
Anisometropia is detected by testing the eyes for an unequal refractive power as determined by an optometrist or ophthalmologist.

Treatment
In the past, spectacles or contact lenses were the first form of correction but now with the advancement of refractive surgery, an excimer laser can be used to treat this condition.
